Why Is My Ethereum-to-Manta Transfer Still Pending?

An Ethereum-to-Manta transfer can stay pending while Ethereum confirms your deposit or the bridge processes it for delivery. If you are moving ETH or an ERC-20 token, the Manta Bridge is one way to make that transfer. Think of it like a parcel changing carriers: the sender’s receipt proves it was handed over, but not that the next carrier has delivered it.

What happens after I send the deposit?

The transfer usually passes through several stages: Ethereum receives your transaction, the bridge verifies it, and Manta Pacific credits the destination. An ERC-20 token is a token issued on Ethereum; ETH is Ethereum’s own currency. The exact verification method depends on the bridge’s design.

First, your transaction must be included in an Ethereum block. Then the bridge needs enough confirmation or other proof that the deposit is valid. A relayer—a service that passes verified transfer information between networks—may help submit the corresponding action on Manta Pacific. Until that action completes, the destination balance may not have changed.

Which part can cause the delay?

The source transaction can wait if Ethereum is busy or its fee is too low for a validator to include it promptly. Once it appears on Ethereum, bridge verification and destination processing can still take time. These are separate stages, so a confirmed Ethereum transaction does not always mean the Manta Pacific credit is immediate.

For example, imagine your parcel has left the first depot but has not reached the local delivery service. The first depot’s receipt is useful evidence, but it cannot confirm the final handoff. Bridge transfers work similarly: check which stage has actually completed before deciding the transfer is stuck.

What should I check before taking action?

Start with the Ethereum transaction record and confirm that it succeeded. A transaction that is still pending or failed has not completed the source step. If it succeeded, check the transfer’s destination status using the same wallet address and token you intended to receive.

If the destination shows delivery but your wallet balance looks unchanged, check that the wallet is viewing Manta Pacific and that the token is visible there. If the transfer remains unresolved, use the official bridge’s stated support route and provide the source transaction hash, a public record identifier for the transaction. Never share your recovery phrase or private key.

Wait while the source transaction is pending; investigate the bridge handoff once Ethereum confirms it.
